Coaching Update: USAC Certified

I’m super excited to announce that I am officially licensed with USA Cycling as a Level 3 cycling coach.

The Backstory

The end of the 2017 triathlon season left me feeling unsatisfied. I had spent the year training for my very first 70.3 World Championship race and performed below my expectations. With the season over and the frustration lingering I signed up for the Zwift Academy, then in its second year. I did really well, making it into the semi finals (a lot has changed in the ZA over the years), and the result put a bug in me to maybe try out some bike racing.

In 2018 I dipped my toe into the cycling world. I was amazed at the power that these women could produce! I did well in road races, but lacked in critierums. I learned a lot about tactics and racing in close proximity to other riders! I’ve raced my way up to a Cat. 3 rider. Over the last few years my excitement and passion for triathlon has not wavered, but my excitement and passion for cycling has continued to grow.

Finally, I decided to do something about it. While I knew a lot about cycling from my background as a triathlon coach, I also understood I needed to know a little more about how to coach cycling as a single sport. Now I have the tools to do so, officially!

Going Forward

In addition to my triathlon and run athletes, I am now looking to take on a few cyclists that are interested in being coached. As someone that both races bikes and has a background in coaching, I believe I am the right fit for those that want to learn and become better at cycling. If this is you, I’d love to talk with you. You can send me an email via the link or look me up on Instagram.

2023 is shaping up to be a great year!
